Free Download East Asian Language

The Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language versions of Microsoft Office XP each come with the Input Method Editors (IMEs) for that language. If you are using a different language version of Microsoft Office, you can download the IME you want.

Tip

IMEs are also available in Microsoft Office Proofing Tools, which is available at Shop.microsoft.com .

Once you have installed the IME, you can access it from the Language bar that appears by default in the upper-right or lower-right corner of the screen in any Office program.

 Notes 

• If you used what was referred to as a Global IME with a previous version of Office, it will not work with Microsoft Office XP. You will need to download the updated version.
• To download IMEs, you must be a licensed Office user.
• To install East Asian IMEs in Office XP or Office 2003 on Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, refer to the KB article in the See also box
