The Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language versions of Microsoft Office XP each come with the Input Method Editors (IMEs) for that language. If you are using a different language version of Microsoft Office, you can download the IME you want.
Click a hyperlink to go to the download page for the IME you want:
IMEs are also available in Microsoft Office Proofing Tools, which is available at Shop.microsoft.com .
Once you have installed the IME, you can access it from the Language bar that appears by default in the upper-right or lower-right corner of the screen in any Office program.
Notes
- If you used what was referred to as a Global IME with a previous version of Office, it will not work with Microsoft Office XP. You will need to download the updated version.
- To download IMEs, you must be a licensed Office user.
- To install East Asian IMEs in Office XP or Office 2003 on Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, refer to the KB article in the See also box
