If you didn't ever playing the game, now i'll telling you the story about the "Grayback's journey". The story is the struggle of the miner of The Wolf Clan, Grayback, who fight for his clansman and become the Lord of the Wolf Clan. The story for me is pretty interesting. It shows some inspirit message, how the person who only just a minor person become the major and being the important person to change the world with his effort, courage, and his faith. The story was made the game to inspiring people.
Ok, now the story begin...
The story started when Wolf Clan started to have a disaster on their clan, and moved to the another place with their Skull of The White Wolf. At the new place, they meet Lotus and Serpent Clan whom become their allies. But suddenly, Lotus Clan attack their clan. With no preparation their clan have no power to fight and then disintegerate. The Skull of The White Wolf has been stolen and they become slaves of the Lotus and Serpent Clan.
Time passed by then one of the miner of The Wolf Clan, Grayback, started a rebellion to fight for freedom of his fellow wolf clansmen from the clutches of the Lotus and Serpent Clan. What he want is the freedom of the clan. In the process, Grayback must defeat the sorceress Yvaine to stop the snow blizzard from killing his clansmen. Yvaine who was the right hand of Zymeth (Lord of Lotus Clan) was the one who controlled the cave (shale miners, the place where the Wolf become the slave). She was cruel, often make her Wolf slaves working to death without rice, leaving the Wolf starving to death.
Started at the first stage, Grayback was one of Lotus and Serpent slave shale mine (as the Wolf Clan). Game started with Grayback and the one Wolf slaves who were starving, were asked Budo (one hero from The Serpent Clan) to get some rice. Budo was the right hand of Yvaine, he was same as Yvaine, cruel.
Player (as Grayback) will be ordered to follow Budo's command. Player must kill some spider on the way of the story and tear down some of Lotus's building and kill some Lotus's army. In the processes,when Grayback do Budo's orders, he free some of miner workers, break their chains then collected and make them as his army, Wolf clan power. On his way freeing some workers, he meet Longtooth, whom have been held in the same cave as he is. Then Longtooth joined him, and become one of his powerfull army. They mission now are to find the way out of the cave, to safe them and the workers. When they reach the end of the cave, they were separated, Grayback told Longtooth and the workers to get out from the cave first and form some Wolf army. In other hand, Grayback go inside the cave to find Yvaine (Grayback think Yvaine was stayed in the cave).
After some conversations, player as Grayback will be guided to meet Yvaine. Yvaine was interfere him and imprison him with ruins of stone, so he can't go outside the cave, and must find another way out. So now the stage started Grayback to move on another way of the cave. In this stage, Grayback changed his look. He now have body armor to protect him from worst damage. On the way to find the way out, he meet some workers who still chained and need to be free. Then the workers joining him and become their army.
After some fight and tricks to find the way out. Now they are free outside the cave and message Longtooth with fire from Pitch Slinger (one of their army) in the tower.
Longtooth was bring some army, then join Grayback. In this stage, they meet Wildeye, whom become the powerfull army with his analysis and his tactics. In this stage player guided to make some army, started with peasant, collecting rice and water. After player win the stage, player will be showed the three heroes of the Wolf, meet Yvaine, and Yvaine made the weather become more snowy and cold !
Then story continous to the conversation from the three to find Gaihla, the Goddess of Nature, to stop the cold weather and save the wolf clan.Then they go to Gaihla place, but it's a pity that Gaihla was kidnapped, and her place almost have been controlled by the Serpent. In this stage, player have to save Gaihla place and meet Utara to fight her. But when they win the fight, they didn't find Gaihla in the process. They must find Soban's (Lotus Clan Hero) laboratory, which was placed in the missing town.
The next stage, player will be have Wildeye as their Zen Master. Wildeye must to stop the town to be missing again, so he now make some riot to the town by throw away some stone from the hill. When Wildeye thrown some stone and hit one of the building in the end, player will be meet by The Shale Lord, who help Wildeye to fight enemies from below. After the stage was finished, Grayback and Longtooth joined again, but The Shale Lord was died. Grayback told that The Shale Lord will be revived with Keep. Now, player have Keep to revive the heroes. So if the heroes died, the game will not be over.
The next stage, player must be reach the laboratory and broke it to safe Gaihla.
After Gaihla was safe. In their way to find The Skull of The White Wolf, Gaihla condition become so bad that she must have rest in the Monk's place, which is controlled by Tao (Dragon Clan Hero).
In this stage, Grayback, Longtooth, Wildeye and The Shale Lord must be fight some enemies. After the stage cleared, player will be faced with some conversations (i was forget what conversation it was).
After this stage, player will faced on cutscene between Grayback, Wildeye, Gaihla, and Longtooth meet Taro (the Prince of Serpent Clan). Taro accused Grayback as the one who make the blizzard happened. So after some conversation, player must be for army again, to teach Taro and warn him with destroy all of his 3 Dojo's.
In the story of some stage, Grayback and his allies must find Yvaine to get their Skull of White Wolf, but in some stage they didn't find Yvaine hideout until the end of the stage. In the end of strategy stage which still needs army, Grayback find Yvaine hideout and get in there himself.
In the hideout cave, he find some Lotus's army and then meet Yvaine, to kill her.
Then after Yvaine killed, the game was ended. And players will hear Longtooth and Wildeye yelled "All Hail The Lord of The Wolves".

That the game, was ended so happily today... When people say the game was just a game, i always didn't think the same. I often look at the game inside and find the positve things which worth our live.
Things that i must say about this game is easy and inspired~
